THIS LIST IS EVERYTHING!!!!!
I can not believe all of the different hashtags there are on Twitter that have to do with education. There are hashtags that I don't even understand and I've been in education for 10 years. I really wish I had soeen this earlier in my career. I can definitely see how Twitter will enhance my knowledge of my profession. I really explored #librarians, #library, and #libchat since those apply most to my profession beginning next year. I found a new community that can support me next year.
I played with Tweetdeck. I liked how I could build a custom timeline and lists.
I also played around with HootSuite, though it is not easy for me to understand why I would use it over the Twitter App. I don't like posting the same thing to all my social media accounts. I like having them separate. I continue to use Zite though. I love it. Its my new source of news.
One of my group members in my group project this week introduced me to periscope on Twitter which allows you to share and watch live video broadcasts from your phone. I am still mastering how it works, but I am thinking of how I followed the Boston Bombing Suspect search on Twitter and how cool it would've been to access that broadcast live from my phone. I had Twitter up on my computer and CNN on my television. I was glued to both.
Twitter is still not my favorite social network, but I am seeing more and more ways where it can be incredibly helpful and cool to use on the job and for recreational purposes!
