Aggregating Adventure

I loved this adventure. I had no idea this even existed in the land of the internet. I want this to be my home screen when I log in on my school computer, and I want to keep it up on my home computer too. I can see this being very addicting because it's like everything you want the internet to be in one place! I am still working on figuring it all out, but it seems very user friendly and required very little introduction to the site before I could dive right in and start using it!

I think this could be used very successfully on my job also. Next year I will be starting my first year as a librarian in an elementary school. I will have students from grades Kinder through 5th daily in my library. I will be responsible for a lesson for every grade level. I could make bookmarks for every grade level and store videos, lessons, links, and more on this and have it all available in one place.  This makes it so I can store information also for future lessons or to reference something I've shared before. I am thinking ahead too for this website. If I were to be transferred in the next few years to a middle or high school this is absolutely something I would use for older students to store their research in one place. I think this is a great way to store information and access it easily. I would even require this if I were a teacher who required research as part of a grade.

I also think this would be something I could share with teachers as a way to support their curriculum through the library. The role of librarian is changing and I need to be more of an instructional leader. This would give me the opportunity to share and help teachers with out taking their time in staff development. I also think this would be a great way to communicate with parents and let parents know what's going on in the classrooms. I know I would appreciate seeing it as a parent.

This was a fun week because it's the first true adventure I had never explored before. I am learning so much through this class, I'm sad to see it go by so quickly!

Feel free to visit my protopage! It will be a work in progress from here on out!
